Knights are a symbol of strength, courage, honor, loyalty, and love for country and king.
What about anime knights?
Are they still able to ride horses and fight while wearing heavy armor and a steel sword? Their combat prowess may be enhanced by magical or supernatural elements.
These knights are a strong force in anime, regardless of whether they favor a traditional, realistic portrayal or a more creative, unrestrained approach.
There are spoilers ahead, as always.
20. Ikki Kurogane

Anime: Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry
The Failed Knight, a school romance manga with magic components (in particular it’s an Ecchi or Harem).
After graduation, students strive to be Mage-Knights. It seems so simple.
Problem is, MC Ikki Kurogane was ranked F, which is the lowest rank. What makes Ikki worthy of being on my list?
His willingness to help others is admirable. Even though he was bullied. He also has the Blade Steal skill which helps him adapt quickly to different fighting styles.
He also gets bonus points for actually getting to know Stella Vermillion and for sharing a sweet kiss at end.
19. Farnese de Vandimion

Anime: Berserk
The Berserk anime adaptation of 2016 isn’t the best way for Farnese de Vandimion to be discovered.
She doesn’t get enough screen time for the second part of The Golden Age film trilogy.
Farnese’s story is still fascinating.
Farnese is the Holy Iron Chain Knights’ leader. The thing is, the Holy Iron Chain Knights leader was traditionally a woman.
Second, the Knights of Farnense are not meant to be a force for war. Farnense and her knights do more ceremonial work than the Holy See.
Farnese’s journey with Guns was a positive one. I love what Farnese accomplished, but I remember her burning people at the stake.
18. Bozes Co Palesti

Anime: Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri
Let me just say how grateful I am for anime and its many source materials. For introducing me knights that weren’t just masculine, but are also not male.
Bozes is a female knight. Bozes has combat skills that can bring down multiple Imperial Soldiers simultaneously.
She’s not always patient, but she is a good friend. It’s impossible to not like her.
Bozes Co Palesti fell in love even with MC YoujiItama, whom she had slapped in the series. But they were able to have a child together at the end.
17. Parn

Anime: Lodoss-tou Senki
Record of Lodoss War, a title that dates back to before I was even born, is an old title.
It was something I saw eventually.
Parn was a very rough child.
His father was ridiculed and hated by the community and people in the area didn’t want any association with him or his child. Parn lost his father, but he never had a chance to repair his reputation.
Parn, as a Free Knight is not required to be loyal to any one person or nobility or to any single kingdom. That’s admirable.
I would rather have a knight who is loyal to justice than someone who harms others just because his king has told him.
16. Felix Argyle

Anime: Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu
Yes, that’s right — Felix Argyle has always been one of my favourite knights. Even though many anime fans (even those who haven’t seen the series) think of him as a trapper,
Moreover, what else could someone like me want?
I didn’t know I would like a trap knight who not only excels at water and healing magic (instead combat), but also has cute blue dresses and neko ears.
Felix Argyle’s character design is not what I would expect from a knight. However, it works. Felix is a knight who evokes historical, classic elements.
Even more, ReZero is a handsome male knight. He’s confident enough about his identity to use female pronouns whenever he likes.
15. Guila

Anime: Nanatsu no Taizai
Guila reminds of Brock and other anime characters whose eyes aren’t actually there. However, there is one big difference: Guila isn’t someone you would want to pester.
As Guila’s father Dale, a knight, seems to be a family tradition. Unfortunately, her father died too soon and was called a traitor. He wanted to be a knight but he was not content with that — and he was inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins.
It’s ironic, then, that her daughter clashed with the series protagonists during the Capital of the Dead episode.
It’s possible to argue that Guila could have prevented Meliodas, Meliodas, and the rest from completing the Seven Deadly Sins if King had not helped them.
14. Alisha Diphda

Anime – Tales of Zestiria the Cross
Alisha Diphda is a controversial character among RPG fans, but the anime version of Alisha is very good.
Actually, I love the way Alisha tried to be a knight.
Her name literally translates to nobility. She belonged to a noble family. Unfortunately, her mother didn’t have a high socioeconomic status. The royal family did not treat them well.
Instead of waiting for her chance at the throne, which was unlikely, Alisha learned to be a knight. This proved that you don’t need a crown in order to serve your kingdom well.
Sometimes all you need is a true dedication to protecting. Sometimes, you can use a long spear to protect your property.
13. Goldov Auora

Anime: Rokka no Yuusha
Goldov Auora is one of the most important people you can have in your group, considering he’s the most powerful fighter from Piena.
He is the Black Horns Knights’ head, which is why he wears black armor. He is also the tallest Brave.
He is a tall and powerful warrior who can deal a lot of damage with his heavy spear.
However, as much as Goldov deserves my praise, the problem with knights is their vulnerability can be caused by their loyalty.
Given what happened in the series, and I hope it gets another season, I want to hug him. Unless he is still mad about it all and would strike everyone near him with a spear.
12. Gazef Stronoff

Anime Overlord
This muscular man looks like he has a good grasp of what he is doing and how strong he can do it.
This is not an understatement.
Gazef Stronoff is known as the Re-Estize Kingdom’s strongest warrior.
Gazef was King Ramposa III’s personal bodyguard. Gazef was a knight, but Gazef wasn’t actually one. Only nobles can be made one.
It is sad that Ainz killed such a respected man, even though they were on opposing sides in the war between kingdoms… but it doesn’t mean that he has lost his inspirational legacy.
11. Erza Scarlet

Anime: Fairy Tail
If one of your magic abilities is called “Requip The Knight”, then you know that you are getting on a similar list.
Fairy Tail‘s Erza Scarlet is a great part of the show, which I don’t particularly like.
As a child slave, she rebelled against the exploitative mages. Her bravery and determination not only to be free, but everyone was what led to her magical awakening.
It’s clear that Erza is an honorable, reliable ally as a result of that event.
Erza will not back down in a fight for justice, no matter what her medieval armor is or Adamantine version.
10. Skull Knight

Anime Berserk: The Golden Age Arc III Advent
The Skull Knight could be the greatest anime knight if there is ever a complete and accurate (at least right now) adaptation of Berserk.
Unfortunately, we have not yet been blessed by the anime gods with a Berserk-inspired adaptation. He only gets this spot.
The Skull Knight can be seen in the horrible 2016 adaptation (he saves Luca), but the real deal is in , the third film in The Golden Age trilogy.
This mysterious and terrifying entity, which is only a matter of minutes, comes in close contact with Void. It quickly kills a vicious monster and escapes Femto (i.e. Griffith) to save Guts, and Casca.
Even his short fight against Nosferatu Zodd gives me chills.
It is amusing to see that this ominous, powerful, and thousand-year-old knight is actually a good guy.
9. Darkness

Anime: Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!
I’m sorry, but KonoSuba’s Darkness was ranked above Berserk’s Skull Knight. I have already explained why this latter was not ranked higher.
Even more important, Darkness has seen more screen time . has also shown how beautiful she is.
Some might argue that she is a crusader, not a knight.
To me, a crusader is someone who has participated in Crusades, someone who fights for a cause or a knight who happens to be a Crusader due to either one of these descriptions (or both).
She qualifies for the title of knight to me at most.
Her armor and heavy sword are more reminiscent of a classic knight than other entries.
Two surprisingly hilarious and funny seasons of KonoSuba and one movie are available. The show also includes Darkness, which is an important component.
Yes, she will protect everyone from harm, not because it’s her job but because she’s perverted masochist. But that’s what’s so amazing about Darkness.
Contrast is so important in darkness:
Although she comes from a noble background, she can still act regal if necessary. However, her hidden motives are not dignified. Likewise, she’s strong. However, she has poor accuracy so it doesn’t really matter.
Because my ranking is subjective, she is hilarious and adorable.
8. Alice Zuberg

Anime and Sword Art Online – Alicization
Alice Zuberg is an Integrity Knight. This sounds incredible and honorable, doesn’t it?
It’s not.
Integrity Knights look like inefficiently rigid copies of honorable knights.
They can do their jobs well and protect Quinella, the Human Empire. They may not want to, but they can.
Quinella is the main antagonist in this era’s SAO franchise, and Integrity Knights are made loyal.
These knights are slaves. Worse, these knights are slaves. They don’t have all of their personal memories prior to becoming protectors of Quinella. The Piety Module seals them away and inserts false memories.
Alice Zuberg is not like this for ever. It is incredible to see her eventually break away from this oppressive control as she continues to help Kirito, and all the others.
7. Aka no Saber “Mordred”

Anime: Fate/Apocrypha
Mordred, also known as Saber Red, is a knight who doesn’t want to be restricted by the expectations of being one.
Mordred can use a two-handed sword, and even throw it far enough, if she has to defeat her foe.
She doesn’t need to rely on her sword.
Victory is her primary goal. She’ll do everything from kicking and biting to win supremacy.
If all else fails, she can summon a large swathe of crimson fire.
She is also an interesting knight.
Mordred, a short, slender woman, wears an enormous armor and helmet that hides her face.
Let’s not forget that she is Mordred, the “son” of King Arthur and a Knight of the Round Table member. These are impressive credentials.
6. Gan Fall

Anime One Piece
Gan Fall isn’t the oldest knight on this list. However, he is certainly the most senior-looking knight.
But that doesn’t make him a burden on battlefields.
He is the God of Skypiea, and was previously known as the Knight of Sky. His intelligence makes him a formidable opponent or ally.
Gan Fall, who is also responsible for Skypiea’s citizens, has mastered diplomacy and keeps everyone safe.
He still has his metal armor and lance, as well as the Impact Dial, lance and lance. A pet bird can also be used to transform into a Pegasus if he needs to go into combat. Yes, there is a flying horse.
5. Clare

Anime Claymore
Clare is one the most beautiful female knights in anime. Clare exudes power and cunning but is also beautiful and caring, at least towards Raki.
I love that she chose to be a claymore, unlike others who didn’t have the option.
It was her decision whether to live a dangerous or normal life.
Clare is not one to give up easily. She was the lowest-ranked claymore within her group, but she kept pushing herself to become a Half-Awakened Being.
Claymore is quite dark. Because Clare was an interesting MC, I couldn’t help but watch.
Although the male child sometimes seemed annoying, Clare’s compelling backstory and amazing fight scenes kept me engaged. I wish there was a second season, or even a reboot of the anime.
4. Kaisar Lidfard

Anime : Shingeki No Bahamut : Genesis
Studio MAPPA was brave enough to try Shingeki No Bahamut. It is based on a digital game but has no compelling story.
The second season is not as enjoyable as the first. The two seasons are worth the time. You’ll enjoy all the characters, including Rita and Kaisar.
Kaisar is surrounded by honorable knights. He was also made a knight.
Because he wanted Favaro to be captured, he did become a bounty-hunter. He was then back as a knight in Virgin Soul and this time a loyal knight captain of King Charioce VII.
However, I love the fact that the anime features a fleshed-out knight like Kaisar. You can see his hair, eyebrows and general posture. Slick hairdo as well.
There is no one like him.
3. Daryun

Anime: Arslan Senki
Daryun would be my protector if I were the crown prince and leader in the resistance.
Arslan is truly fortunate to have Daryun, otherwise known as “The Knight In Black”, by his side. Even more so when Prince Rajendra and other people acknowledge him as one of the strongest fighters in Shindra (that’s India’s two kingdoms)
Daryun’s primarily black armor and black hair (and long, dark eyebrows) gave him a serious, intimidating appearance.
He isn’t cold-blooded, however.
He is an Azatan, another term for “knight”, and he knows when to use his spear. Daryun also has a sense of morality.
He takes care of Arslan, his father. Daryun will not kill to protect them, but he will give his life for their safety.
2. Suzaku Kururugi

Anime Code Geass Hangyaku no Lelouch
Suzaku held many titles throughout the series, including Knight of Zero and Knight of Seven, Knight Knight of Princess Euphemia and White Knight.
He has grown from a soldier to a student to become a Knightmare Pilot and the leader of the Knights of the Round.
While the world of Code Geass is filled with a different group of knights than Suzaku, it clearly shows that Suzaku has all of the traditional characteristics of a historical knight.
He is a fighter for what he believes in. He is always striving to raise his rank. The series’ fans even argue about which Knightmare pilot is better between Lelouch and him.
Also, I admire his transformation from a selfish young man to an advocate for peace.
More importantly, Suzaku is a true knight for what he’s willing to maintain long-term peace.
Zero Requiem was difficult to watch, but it made perfect sense. He lost his best friend for peace. In the end, he also lost himself.
1. Saber

Anime/stay night: Unlimited blade works
She is my favorite anime knight. She’s my favorite knight in anime history, regardless of whether she’s in Unlimited Blade Works oder any other Fate versions.
You mean, how are you going to compete with King Arthur (or, should I say, herself), otherwise known as King of Knights.
She is literally the blonde and elegant waifu version the famous British figure.
Saber is more than the one who pulled Caliburn out of stone. He also wielded the iconic Excalibur sword.
What’s the problem with someone as accomplished as Saber?
One, she sees herself as a knight and servant more than a woman or human. Saber believes emotions can hinder her mission to win the Holy Grail War, change the selection of kings and prove that she is a failure as a ruler.
As she starts to feel for Shirou, she is able to reveal more of her femininity and human emotions.
As a servant, she doesn’t need to eat. She does learn the joys of modern culinary delights.
Saber is given a second chance at living. It’s a chance to live it with more freedom. This is quite a contrast to her previous identity, which was a powerful and respected person with no self-worth. All she knew throughout her life was that she wanted to be a king and help others.
Artoria Pendragon, a knight servant Saber helps Artoria to find balance in her life and identity.
Saber, who is actually the Once and Future King’s real identity, can now embrace the good things (food, love and even her womanness, because she happens to have been a woman in Fate), while still being a hardworking and morally upright king (and knight).
There’s my knight waifu.
