He was fun and sometimes a little immature, but he always kept his and his family’s honour as the most important thing to guard.
But Mikey was more than simply a jolly teenager. As the leader of Toman, Mikey saw it as his responsibility to conceal his pain and present a confident front.
Mikey was also extremely tough and gained the respect of those who were around him.
He accepted the group’s responsibility and chose to take it on his own. This is the reason his actions would frequently diverge from his route and go towards darker paths in his future.

In the current timeline, Takemichi comes across Manjiro and speaks to Manjiro about the reasons he changed.
However, Mikey is shot by Mikey.
Desperate to save him, Manjiro activates his time leap over again, and then he can leap back into the past again.
The second time around, Mikey has reached the age of 17.
