Sweet Home Season 2 Details: Release Date, New Cast, and Plot

Netflix’s “SweetHome” is a horror-themed series that revolves around Cha Hyunsu, a suicidal teenager who finds himself in an apocalyptic scenario. The apartment complex named Green Home Hyun-su has to confront shocking facts about the human race and monsters.

The survival drama was created by Netflix, Production Plan, and Studio Dragon and is inspired by a webtoon of the same name created by Kim Carnby and Hwang Young-chan.

Since its debut in December of 2020, “Sweet Home” has gained a huge fan base fascinated by its unique take on the monster-human conflict.

With its frightening action sequences and gruesome encounters with flesh-eating creatures, this series is an enthralling examination of how to be able to survive.

Naturally, viewers are eagerly awaiting the second season of the show.

Here’s everything you should be aware of about Sweet Home season 2.

Season 2 Premiere Date

“Sweet Home” season 1 was released in full on the 18th of December 2020 through the streaming service Netflix. The season consists of 10 episodes, with a run time of between 44 and 59 minutes for each.

So, what’s the plan for season two? There is currently no official announcement concerning the renewal of “Sweet Home” for an additional season. Though rumors regarding season 2’s production are widespread, Netflix has dismissed similar rumors by stating that no information has been confirmed at present.

We believe that there’s a good chance the show will be renewed for a new installment. With the mythology of the monsters and humans established and an abundance of material from which to draw, the second season could be a deep dive into the details of the terrifying situation that is threatening Hyun-su’s realm.

With all the information above that we have, we can anticipate “Sweet Home” season 2 to air sometime in the third quarter or fourth quarter of 2022. Then, we have to wait for the official announcement of renewal. We hope that it doesn’t take long!

Sweet Home Season 2 Plot: What Could It Be About?

Season 1 finds Hyun-su, together with the other inhabitants of Green Home, facing the threat of the terrifying flesh-eating creatures.

Even though the people form an alliance and attempt to make it through the chaos, it quickly escalates. Hyun-su begins to transform into a monster.

However, he’s capable of restraining his terrifying desires, which is why he’s classified as a “special infected.” Towards the close of the season, an outlaw group assaults Green Home. Then, Eun-hyuk starts to bleed like one of those infected, just as the building falls over him.

The Yi-Kyung is attempting to escape but is prevented by the army. She decides to join them to learn more about her husband. Sang-Wook, who was thought to be dead, transports Hyun-su, who is injured, in military vehicles to an unknown location.

If the second season is completed, it will investigate the fates of Hyunsu and Sang-Wook. In addition, it could examine how Yi-Kyung is handling the military and if she’ll be required to find special infected individuals such as Hyun-su.

It is also possible to find out whether Eun-hyuk has died or has changed into an evil monster. It is possible that the survivors of Green Home will face each other the next time, possibly on opposing sides of the fight.
