Upload plot

Nathan spends the first season trying to find out who killed him. He eventually recovers his memories and realizes that his business partner was willing to betray him before his death. Nathan is killed shortly after he was involved in a sinister arrangement with Ingrid’s dad.
Nathan ends his relationship with Ingrid, and he downgrades to Lake View’s free membership. This only gives him 2 GB of data per month. These constraints prevent him from completing his conversation with Nora, who reveals her feelings for him. She is, therefore, unable to believe that Nathan doesn’t love her.
After nearly avoiding death, Nora leaves the grid with Byron. The episode ends on a cliffhanger with Nathan freezing because of data deletion and Ingrid uploading to the afterlife so that she can be with Nathan forever. In 2033, the second season will most likely resume.
Nathan will need to deal with Ingrid’s and Nora’s problems. While we have yet to discover who is responsible for Nathan’s death, the first season suggests Ingrid’s dad most likely ordered the hit. Nathan’s invention This invention, which he had been working on prior to his death, has much potential as it would make “uploading more economically.”
If Nathan’s revolutionary technology proves to be effective, it could kill commerce in Horizen, the opulent virtual afterlife. Daniels said that the third season will explore why Ingrid uploaded herself to Lake View. He joked that it might have been an error. The creator also said that the third season will follow Nathan and Nora as they “transform Lake View.”
